Native Plant Sale

Thank you for choosing to plant native trees and shrubs! Through this year’s sale we got over 8,500 stems into the community where they will provide valuable habitat for wildlife, sequester carbon, and add beauty to our local landscape for years to come.

In addition to those sold through regular and large bundle orders, we purchased 4,100 stems of native species for current and future restoration planting projects.

Your feedback is valuable as we plan for next year’s sale. Please take a few minutes to complete our short survey, the results of which will help guide which species and bundle sizes we carry next year.

Thanks to our outstanding volunteers, staff, and customers, we got 12,000 native trees and shrubs out into the community last year. These plants will provide valuable wildlife habitat, carbon sequestration, erosion control, and beauty in the landscape for years to come.

Our neighboring conservation districts also hold native plant sales and their species selection may vary somewhat from what we have to offer at JCCD. Additonally, other local groups in Jefferson County hold plant sales. Also, you can always ask plant nurseries to get native species. If they are aware of demand for natives, they’ll be more likely to offer them.
