Chimacum Creek Management & Improvement Plan

Jefferson County Commissioners, Jefferson County Conservation District, and WSU Extension have teamed up to solicit input from the community about Chimacum Creek drainage issues and potential solutions. The Conservation District is leading the development of a drainage management and improvement plan for the watershed, which will occur over the coming months. Community engagement began with an open house on February 28 to introduce the issues and planning process, and to solicit input and feedback. Here is a link to the open house slide presentation.

The open house was followed by two focus group meetings to discuss stream conditions and issues and a third focus group meeting about management options, including potential implementation mechanisms.
